NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The Office of Facilities Management of the University of Pittsburgh is seeking qualified Contractors to bid on selected packages of work for the renovation of Hillman Library, DGS Project No. 1103-67. This Phase 1A of the project consists of renovating the 4th floor, basement and penthouse including the demolition and replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, window replacement, reconfiguration of space, restroom upgrades and other finish upgrades. The scope of the packages of work and the estimated values are as follows: General Construction: $8,500,000 - $9,500,000; HVAC Construction including controls: $6,000,000 - $7,000,000; Plumbing & Fire Protection Construction: $1,000,000 - $1,500,000; Electrical Construction: $3,000,000 - $3,500,000. Contractors who wish to be considered for bidding the project must submit a Predetermination of Responsibility Form (PDR) for review and pre-qualification. The PDR form can be obtained by visiting the University of Pittsburgh, Facilities Management website at http://www.facmgmt.pitt.edu/ under "Currently Advertised Projects". Questions may be directed to the Senior Manager of Contract Administration & Procurement, Ms. Tawanda Stamps at (412) 624-9514 or tmsst58@pitt.edu Contractors will be pre-qualified to bid based on the following criteria: 1) Insurance and Bonding B+ or higher rating in Bests Key Rating Guide or Federal Treasury Regulations; 2) Experience Modifier Rate (EMR) less than 1.00; 3) Experience with classroom and commercial office towers of size and complexity similar to the project; 4) Previous experience working on DGS funded projects where Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Employment Verification Act apply; 5) Bonding capacity exceeding the estimated cost of construction; 6) Scheduling capabilities and experience, availability of equipment, supervision, manpower and; 7) Claims history for past 5 years; 8) Compliance with Small Diverse Business Participation goals and Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements Two (2) copies of the PDR Form and the required information must be hand delivered to Tawanda Stamps, Sr. Manager of Contract Administration & Procurement no later than 3:00 p.m., March 17, 2017.
